Reservation and Check-out procedures
- Reservations
- Check the calendar to see that the dates you want are clear.
- Fill out the small, blue reservation card.
- Attach your check to the card.
- Place them in the collection box.
- Mark the dates you have reserved on the calendar (only after payment is in the box.)
- Check-out
- Check the calendar to make sure the boat hasn't already been reserved.
- If you haven't already, fill out a small blue reservation card.
- Attach your check to the reservation card.
- Place them in the collection box.
- Fill out a large, blue check-out form.
- Any one without a current WYC card posted with the check-out form must sign as a guest.
- Do Not fill in Harbor Patrol, 911, or Coast Guard for person to call. This should be some one you would contact, if there were a change of plans.
- Perform the checklist and sign it.
- Post the check-out form, your WYC card, your KB deposit card, and the WYC cards of all passengers not signed as guests.
- Go sailing!
- Perform the checklist again.
- Place the check-out sheet in the black mailbox for used KB forms.
- Note any damage, problems, missing equipment on a pink damage form.
- The blank marked name is for your name.
- Leave a contact method.
- Be specific (e.g. which jib, what edge, etc...)
- Fix it if you can, otherwise come to a work-party and help fix it.
- Misc. rules about checking out a boat
- There are no refunds, so be sure that is the time you want, and help keep the boats operational.
- If you want to sign up for a time more than two weeks in advance -- run it past the KB fleet captain.
